PET is short for plyethyleneterephthalate. (No wonder it is called PET.)  PET is a fiber made primarily of plastic bottles.  Mohawk reclaims more than 6 billion plastic bottles each year which are cleaned and made into PET chips.  The chips are extruded into fiber which in-turn is used to create high quality stain resistant carpet.  It is incredible to see this process from beginning to end.

Pet Premier constructs the PET fiber using a finer denier which creates a ultra-soft feel and a high twist level which improves the overall performance and durability.  Add that to the incredible stain resistance and you have the perfect carpet solution.
